The first file is laid as <br /> normal,then indent the second row 1 to 3 <br /> pans and lay the tile above. Repeat this <br /> process across the roof. K in doubt contact the <br /> Gerard Technical Services division. <br /> BATTEN SET OUT WITH STEPPED <br /> FASCIA <br /> When this situation occurs,a short course <br /> is needed at the fascia. Always start the <br /> first full row 141/4'(362 mm) from the <br /> longest fascia length. Work up from this <br /> point installing the Gerard panel battens. <br /> Where the fascia steps down, work down <br /> with the batten spacers to the fascia. The <br /> short course at the fascia is measured, <br /> bent and cut the same as for the ridge cut <br /> panels. The short course is installed the <br /> same as ridge panels. Use 1"X 4"(25 X <br /> 100mm) to replace 2" X 2" (50 X 50mm) <br /> \ battens(See III.) <br /> j FASCIA LONGEST FASCIA LENGTH AIR CONDITIONER OR SWAMP <br /> 1 COOLER RESTING ON ROOF <br /> When the unit cannot be removed,tile pan <br /> SHORT COURSE should be installed down both sides of the <br /> unit. Make sure the tile pan exits out onto <br /> USE V x 4•(25 x toomm) the Gerard panels at the bottom of the unit. <br /> / The perimeter should be boxed in. The <br /> back of the unit will require a crickettsaddle <br /> for weatherproofing.
