Underlays <br /> (2s x 100mm) 1 xa and/or sheathing may be required. Check <br /> with local building official for approval. <br /> All existing roofing material must be <br /> removed including flashings, valleys, and <br /> FASCIA BUI D-UP ;, battens. Thoroughly examine the roof <br /> FLUSH structure and replace any lumber that <br /> shows decay or damage. Gerard panels <br /> can be installed over open/spaced or solid <br /> sheathing. If solid sheathing is specified, <br /> use a minimum 1h' (12mm) CDX type of <br /> plywood. When solid sheathing is not <br /> used, but the existing spaced sheathing <br /> will remain, 1 X 4 (25 X 100 mm) <br /> EXISTING ROOF B counterbattens are installed as for re- <br /> WOOD SHINGLE roofing. Refer to the'Re-Roofing'section. <br /> ROOF LAYERS <br /> A Gerard roof can be applied over a <br /> maximum of two(2)roof layers.'
