MINUTES OF A REGULAR MEETING HELD JANUARY 21, 1974 Page 2 <br />Mr. Barth, legal counsel for Cheyenne Land <br />Development Company, submitted "Sketch D" <br />which was a preliminary plat that supposedly <br />conformed with all existing zoning and platting <br />standards. Mr. Barth asked that the "Planning <br />Commission make a recommendation on this plat <br />and forward this recommendation to the Council. <br />Acting Chairman Van Nest called to Mr. Barth's <br />attention that there were several problems <br />with "Sketch D "; one of which was no turn- <br />around on one of the dead end streets. <br />Commissioner Elliott entered the Council <br />'hambers at 8:10 P.M. <br />Commissioner Pesek. asked that discussion on <br />the sign ordinance be tabled. He worked on <br />a sign ordinance for WAyzata and would like <br />the opportunity to review the proposed <br />ordinance in greater ddtail. <br />Pesek moved, Guthrie seconded, that the <br />Planning Commission table further discussion <br />regarding the,sign ordinance until February 12, <br />1974. Motion, Ayes (8) - Nays (0). <br />Commissioner Gasch entered the Council .- <br />Chambers at 8:25 P.M. <br />Acting Chairman Van Nest suggested to the <br />Planning Commission that there were three <br />alternatives available to them. They are: <br />1. Hold a public hearing on the rezoning and <br />attempt to complete the Comprehensive Plan <br />in the next six months. <br />2. Complete the Comprehensive Plan before <br />any land is rezoned. <br />3. Allow the moratorium to expire and allow <br />the land to be developed as it is presently <br />zoned before a Comprehensive Plan is completed. <br />Arno Hearing of the Metropolitan Council, <br />and Marc Whitehead, the Village Attorney, <br />were present to answer questions regarding <br />the proposed rezoning and the legal require- <br />ments for notifying the public of the rezoning. <br />CHEYENNE LAND DEVELOPMENT <br />PFOPOStb SIGN ORDINANCE <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN <br />
