Shore all existing construction as necessary for protection of existing structure. <br /> b. New beam will be approximately 15 feet long spanning from exterior corner to <br /> interior wall. <br /> C. At the exterior corner, a steel column exists from footing to first floor framing. <br /> At the inside corner,a steel column exists from footing to first floor framing. <br /> d. The beam is to be two 1-3/4" x 11-1/4" microlams or three 1-3/4" x 9 1/2" <br /> microlams. <br /> e. At the exterior, the beam is to be supported by five 2" x 4" nailed together and <br /> supported on the steel column and/or carried all the way to the footing. Attach <br /> beam and column with metal plates(Simpson type). <br /> f. The interior end of the column is to be supported in a similar fashion on the steel <br /> column. Blocking as necessary to be provided in each case. <br /> g- The two ply construction or the three ply construction are to be nailed and/or <br /> bolted together in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. <br /> 4.
