*No access panel in garage ceiling(we recently cut the hole to comply with fire code, but
the builder should install a new insulated panel and scuttle if required).
*No access to plumbing behind upstairs bathtub(However,in the interest of getting these
issues resolved we are willing to overlook this item).
*Grade is less than 6"below the siding(however,in the interest of getting these
issued resolved,we are willing to accept this near the walk-out area at the north side
of house)
Your immediate help in getting the builder to come back and take care of these matters will be appreciated If you require
further investigation of these items, please contact us as soon as possilbe. Please carbon copy us with any citations and
correspondence to the builder.
The following is a list of faulty workmanship items observed at 125 Truff fla Trail,Orono,MN:
*OSB sheathing on roof is warped in certain areas, causing a"wavy"appearance. This is V
either due to improper ventilation(not allowing moisture to escape),lack of separation
of OSB boards, improper nailing,and/or over-weathering of the sheathing causing buckling
at the seams of the OSB. If that was the case, then these boards,at the very least should
have been sanded before roofing paper and shingles were applied. It is also possible
that the OSB simply wasn't nailed properly in these wavy areas, causing them to lift.
Now that the shingles have settled after the winter months,it is apparent that there is a
problem. We would appreciate your observations of this faulty workmanship in writing.
*Roof repair needed as previously observed. Per your conversation with Mike, please adjust
your letter dated June 29th,regarding the builder's roof repair in the valley and comer areas
indicating that he did not do the substantial repair as you had previously recommended
As roofing contractors agree, putting a triangular piece of metal higher on the wall will do
nothing for the problem.
Thank you for your help.
ty,
4"
Mike and Lori Ame
P.S. At your earliest convenience, please reinspect our fuse box where Mr. Olson hooked up the septic pump wire to make sure
that we don't have a safety issue here.
P.S.S. We have just been informed by two of our neighbors that the developer,Earl Fischer, took a great deal of dirt from our
property(just before closing)from the north side of our birm and moved it to use as backfill and grading for the Adam's home
(200 Truff da Trail,at end of culdesac). Maybe you could assist us in getting the developer to deliver dirt back to our property so
that we can replace it at the end of the birm,as needed.
