RELEVENT PROJECT EXPEREINCE <br />At <br />MOUND DOWNTOWN STRATEGIC PLAN <br />Client: City of Mound <br />Contact: Sarah Smith <br />Community Development Director <br />sarahsmith@cityofmound.com <br />(952) 472-0604 <br />Maxfield Research was engaged by the City of Mound to <br />evaluate real estate market conditions and to assess the <br />development potential for various real estate product types in <br />the Downtown Business District of Mound, Minnesota. The <br />study included a supply and demand analysis for retail, office, <br />lodging, and multifamily housing. Recommendations were <br />provided to strengthen Mound's ability to attract new business <br />and residents to the community. These recommendations were <br />intended to support the City's business and economic <br />development initiatives. <br />NEW HOPE CITY CENTER STREETSCAPE <br />Client: City of New Hope <br />Contact: Jeff Sargent <br />Director of Community Development <br />isaraent@ci.new-hope.mn.us <br />(763) 531-5196 <br />New Hope was looking to create an identifiable and unique <br />area within its city border. New Hope's City Center has been <br />the home of several public uses such as city hall, the public <br />pool, fire station and Civic Center Park. Existing strip malls and <br />the previously abandon K -Mart store along with multi -family <br />housing were the primary private users. <br />In an effort to create a remarkable community space, Nate <br />Ekhoff, Project Manager, worked with the City to take <br />advantage of the momentum created by a new Hy -Vee project <br />to implement a new streetscape project. The streetscape <br />design incorporates unique elements including banner columns, <br />arbor structures, and includes gateway entry features to <br />welcome users to the new City Center.
