The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to proceed with a series of drainage <br />projects though -out Orono in 2017. <br />2. Background. Over the past several months several stormwater/ drainage issues have been rough to <br />the attention of the city. <br />a. The curbing on Bohns point has eroded and needs to be replaced. In its current condition runoff <br />from the road leading into the Cul -de -Sac is directed down the driveway of 3265 Bohns Point Ln causing <br />damage to the properties landscaping. A concrete curb is recommended. <br />b. The curbing on Caroline Avenue has peeled away from the roadway. The curbing is on a tight <br />corner and suffers from snowplows and service vehicle traffic. A concrete replacement is recommended. <br />3. Project Scope, (See Exhibit A for Map) <br />a. Installation of 140 ft. of 136-18 curb and gutter on Bohns Point Lane. <br />b. Installation of 120 ft. of 136-18 curb and gutter on Caroline Avenue. <br />4. Cost. Funding. This project will be funded through the Storm Water Enterprise Fund. The Capital <br />Improvement Plan (CIP) budgeted $76,500 for General Strom sewer improvement projects for 2017. The <br />EOY 17 Fund balance is projected to be $1,453,394. <br />6. Staff Recommendation.
