1-9 <br />R1,1SOLUTILON 2017 - 27 <br />City Council <br />Exhibit A <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE AGREEMENT AND CONTRACT <br />FOR POLICE SERVICES BETWEEN THE CITY OF ORONO AND MINNETONKA BEACH <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of the Village of Minnetonl<a Beach, Minnesota was held on the 12th day of June 2017. The <br />following members were present: Mayor Mike Taylor; Council Members Jill Bartel, Paul <br />Kozloski, Jac.i Lindstrom and Andrew Myers; Treasurer Steve Howarth. Absent: None. <br />Council Member Lindstrom introduced the following resolution and moved its adoption: <br />WHEREAS, the City of Orono has provided law enforcement services to the City of <br />Minnetonka Beach for many years; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council believes continuing contracting with the City of Orono for <br />law enforcement services is in the best interest of the City. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Minnetonka Beach has been satisfied with the quality of law <br />enforcement services provided by the City of Orono and has been engaged in negotiations for a <br />new contract with the City of Orono for the provision of police services on mutually acceptable <br />terms. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, the City Council hereby approves the <br />Agreement and Contract for Law Enforcement Services effective as of January 1, 2018 attached <br />hereto and instructs the Mayor and City Clerk to execute said Agreement on behalf of the City of <br />Minnetonka Beach. <br />The motion for adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Council Member <br />Bartel and, upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Bartel, <br />Kozloski, Lindstrom, and Myers.
