' 6. CONSIDERATION OF BIDS <br /> ' Temple Israel reserves the right, in the determination of the lowest responsible <br /> bidder, to consider the ultimate economy as affected by the cost of operation, <br /> maintenance, and repairs in the best interest of Temple Israel and such, other <br /> ' factors as may be reasonably determined to affect the ultimate economy of the <br /> award. <br /> ' Temple Israel reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or parts of <br /> bids and to waive informalities therein. <br /> ' For the purpose in determining the lowest responsible bidder in the consideration of <br /> all bids submitted, Temple Israel reserves the right to accept or reject any bid or <br /> alternates in the numerical order in which they appear on the Bid Proposal form and <br /> ' as it may consider in its best interest. <br /> ' 7. UNIT PRICES <br /> In cases where any part of the bidding is to be received on the unit price basis, the <br /> quantities stated are approximate only, and will be used in making a comparison of <br /> bids. Each bidder will be required to make his own estimate of the actual quantities <br /> involved and to calculate his unit price bid accordingly. A bid of unit prices may be <br /> ' rejected if it is found to be unbalanced. <br /> ' 8. CONTRACT <br /> The Bidder to whom award is made, will be required to execute a written contract <br /> within 10 working days. <br /> The Contractor shall within 10 days of signing the contract, submit in writing to the <br /> Project Manager a complete list of all items of work which he proposes to sublet and <br /> ' the names of the subcontractors to whom he proposes to sublet such work. The <br /> subcontractors named shall be recognized standing with a record of satisfactory <br /> performance. The Contractor shall not employ any subcontractor or use any <br /> material to which the Project Manager may object as incompetent, unfit, or where <br /> there is reason to assume the work will not be accomplished in accordance with the <br /> Contract Documents. Prior to the employment of the named subcontractors. the <br /> subcontractors must be approved in writing by the Project Manager. <br /> 6 <br />
