Resolution <br />2. Purpose. The purpose for this item is make appointments to the Park Commission. <br />3. Background. The Parks Commission is made up of seven regular members who serve three <br />year terms. The terms are intended to be staggered however all of the current commissioners <br />were appointed in 2014. In 2017 the City Council voted to allow for the provision of alternate <br />park commissioners. Five of the seven current members have volunteered to serve an additional <br />term as regular members and one has asked to be appointed as an alternate. The City received <br />four applications from residents one of which has indicated an interest in serving as an alternate. <br />4.
