INTERIM CITY ADMINISTRATOR EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT <br />THIS INTERIM CITY ADMINISTRATOR EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT, <br />entered into this day of February, 2017, by and between the CITY OF ORONO, a <br />Minnesota municipal corporation ("City') and DOUGLAS S. REEDER {"Interim <br />Administrator"). <br />WHEREAS, City wishes to retain the services of an interim City Administrator to <br />perform the general duties of the City Administrator, as the duties may be determined by the City <br />Council from time to time, for the time-limited, temporary interim period; and <br />WHEREAS, the Interim Administrator has indicated that he is qualified and willing to <br />accept and perform the job. responsibilities as Interim City Administrator subject to the terms of <br />this Interim City Administrator Employment Agreement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, for good and valuable mutual consideration, and with the intent <br />of being legally bound, City and Interim City Administrator agree as follows: <br />1.EMPLOYMENT. Upon the terms and conditions set forth in this Interim City Administrator <br />Employment Agreement, City hereby contracts with the Interim Administrator, to perform the <br />duties of Interim City Administrator. <br />1.TERM OF EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT. The Employment Agreement shall commence <br />on February 21, 2017. <br />1.DUTIES. For purposes of this agreement, it is understood and agreed between the parties that <br />the Interim Administrator shall provide oversight and management of city operations and support <br />to the Mayor and City Council as described in the City Administrator job description and such <br />other legally permissible and proper duties and functions as City shall from time -to -time assign. <br />Although encompassing the full range of responsibilities within the City Administrator job <br />description, the City shall identify, and the parties shall agree on priorities for the Interim City <br />Administrator consistent with the interim, temporary nature of the position. It is understood that <br />the position of City Administrator requires attendance at evening meetings and occasionally at <br />weekend meetings. <br />At such time as the Interim Administrator would need to terminate the Employment <br />Agreement, he would be available to assist the City in the recruitment of a new city <br />administrator. This may include, but not be limited to, reviewing and screening applications, <br />serving on the interview panel, conducting reference checks on finalist candidates, etc. The <br />159183 <br />
