REQUEST FOR COUNCIL ACTION <br />DATE: February 13, 2017 <br />ITEM NO.: 6 <br />Department Approval: Administrator Reviewed: Agenda Section: <br />Name Scott Oberaigner Y"-4 Public Works Director/ <br />Title Public Works Supervisor City Engineer's Report <br />Item Description: Fuel System Replacement <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to replace the City's fuel system. <br />2. Background. The system is used to provide access and track of the use of gasoline and <br />diesel fuel for police, public works, and other city vehicles and equipment. The current fuel <br />metering system is obsolete. <br />3. Scope. The project scope is to procure and install a new fuel management system hardware and <br />software; and integrate it with the City's IT system and to provide training to users. <br />4. Cost. The lowest quote from a qualified contractor was $11,897 from Pump and Meter. <br />Contractor <br />Quote <br />Pump and Meter <br />$11,897 <br />Trak Engineering, Inc <br />$12,520 <br />Lube -Tech <br />$14,420 <br />5. Funding. This project will be funded through the Building Fund.
