CITY OF ORONO <br />HENNEPIN COUNTY, MINNESOTA <br />SUMMARY ORDINANCE NO. <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING AND REPLACING <br />IN ITS ENTIRETY CITY CODE TITLE III, <br />CHAPTER 18, ARTICLE IV REGARDING <br />RIGHT-OF-WAY MANAGEMENT <br />NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on May 29, 2018, Ordinance No. 207, Third Series <br />was adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota. <br />NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, due to the lengthy nature of Ordinance No. 207, <br />Third Series the following summary of the ordinance has been prepared for publication and <br />approved by the City Council as authorized by state law. <br />NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, Ordinance No. 207, Third Series repeals <br />and replaces in its entirety City Code Title III, Chapter 18, Article IV regarding right-of- <br />way management to provide for permitting of excavations and obstructions in the right <br />of way. Article IV also implements new legislation (Chapter 94) passed by the 2017 <br />Minnesota legislature that authorizes the location of small cell wireless facilities within <br />public rights-of-way, prescribes and limits local authority, establishes review timelines <br />and permitting requirements, establishes maximum review charges and annual fees, etc. <br />A printed copy of the whole ordinance is available for inspection by any person during <br />the City's regular office hours or on the City's website. <br />APPROVED for publication by the City Council of Orono, Minnesota this 11 t" day <br />of June, 2018. <br />CITY OF ORONO <br />LM <br />ATTEST: <br />Anna Carlson, City Clerk <br />Dennis Walsh, Mayor <br />
