AGENDA ITEM <br />Item No.: 6 <br />Item Description: Antoine Park Playground Border <br />Date: May 14, 2018 <br />Presenter: Jason Goehring, Agenda Consent Agenda <br />Parks and Golf Supervisor Section: <br />1. Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to proceed with the replacement of the <br />border for the Antoine Park Playground. <br />2. Background. The plastic border around the Antoine <br />Park playground is damaged and presents a hazard to users. <br />Rather than replace the plastic border with another plastic <br />border staff is recommending installation of a concrete <br />boarder which should last well into the future. <br />3. Project Scope. Remove existing plastic border and install <br />a new concrete border. <br />4. Cost. The City received two valid quotes listed below <br />The low quote is for $8700. <br />Contractor <br />note, <br />Decorative & Structural <br />$8,700 <br />Concrete and Masonry, LLC <br />DRMP Concrete and <br />$13,560 <br />Masonry <br />5. Funding. This project will be funded through the Parks Fund. The fund's project 2018 end of year <br />balance is $755,246. <br />6. Staff Recommendation.
