MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />Monday, February 26, 2018 <br />7:00 o'clock p.m. <br />ROLL CALL <br />The Orono City Council met on the above-mentioned date with the following members present: Mayor <br />Dennis Walsh, City Council Members Richard Crosby, III, Wendy Dankey, and Aaron Printup. <br />Representing Staff were City Administrator Dustin Rief, Community Development Director Jeremy <br />Barnhart, Finance Director Ron Olson, City Engineer/Public Works Director Adam Edwards, Consulting <br />City Engineer David Martini, City Attorney Soren Mattick, and Recorder Jackie Young. <br />Mayor Walsh called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br />Item No. 4 was removed from the Consent Agenda. <br />CONSENT AGENDA <br />1. CITY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF FEBRUARY 12, 2018 <br />2. CLAIMSBILLS <br />3. SEASONAL WEIGHT RESTRICTIONS RESOLUTION NO. 6834 <br />4. PUBLIC WORKS FENCING <br />This item was removed from the Consent Agenda. <br />5. APPOINTMENT OF 2018 SEASONAL EMPLOYEES <br />6. SNOW AND ICE POLICY REVISION <br />7. REHABILITATION OF LIFT STATION #9 (1580 BOHNS POINT ROAD) AND <br />GRINDER STATION #2 (1082 FERNDALE ROAD WEST) <br />Crosby moved, Dankey seconded, to approve the Consent Agenda as submitted. VOTE: Ayes 4, <br />Nays 0. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />Dean Patterson, 300 Lindawood Lane, Long Lake, asked if there are any plans to discuss the lockdown <br />that occurred at the Orono Schools last week. <br />Walsh noted the Orono School Board is meeting tonight and will likely be discussing that item. In <br />addition, the City Council had a workshop discussion with the School Superintendent Police Chief earlier <br />this evening and will be meeting again in the future to discuss school safety. Walsh stated the school and <br />the police department will be taking the lead on that item. <br />Page 1 of 13 <br />
