ARTICLE 11 <br />VACATIONS <br />11.01 Earned Vacation Accruals: <br />0-5 years of service earn 10 days of vacation time <br />6-10 years of service earn 15 days of vacation time <br />11-15 years of service earn 18 days of vacation time <br />16 years of service earn 19 days of vacation time <br />17 years of service earn 20 days of vacation time <br />18 years of service earn 22 days of vacation time <br />19 years of service earn 23 days of vacation time <br />20+ years of service earn 24 days of vacation time <br />11.02 Usage and Reporting: Employees may not accrue more than 240 hours of vacation, at the end of the <br />fiscal year. Each Employee shall be informed of their unused accrued vacation on their paycheck. Vacation <br />can be used after 6 months of service, from start date. Regular part-time employees over 20 hours per week <br />receive a prorated accrual based on hours worked relative to full-time hours worked. Seasonal and temporary <br />employees are not eligible. <br />ARTICLE 12 <br />HOLIDAYS <br />12.01 Full-time: Full-time Employees shall be granted twelve (12) paid holidays as follows: <br />New Year's Day <br />Martin Luther King Jr. Day <br />Presidents Day <br />Memorial Day <br />Independence Day <br />Labor Day <br />Veterans Day <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Day After Thanksgiving Day <br />Business Day Before Federal Christmas Holiday <br />Federal Christmas Holiday <br />Floating Holiday (1) Employee option if not designated by the City. <br />ARTICLE 13 <br />VACANCIES AND JOB POSTING <br />13.01 Posting of Vacancies: All permanent vacancies in the appropriate unit shall be posted. <br />13.02 Application for Vacancies: All Employees under this agreement, including those on lay-off status, <br />may submit application in writing for any vacancy which is posted pursuant to this Article. <br />13.03 Remote Notice: All Employees who are not actively working may access the City of Orono website. <br />13.04 Filling Vacancies: Notice of the candidate selected to fill the vacancy shall be given to the designated <br />steward and the Union office upon submission of the information to payroll. <br />13.06 Promotion Positions: <br />13.061 For purposes of this section, a promotion is defined as moving to a classification involving an <br />increase in pay per hour. <br />13.062.
