Purpose. The purpose of this action item is to gain approval for the disposal of forfeited <br />vehicles. <br />2. Background. The Police Department has two forfeited vehicles that can be disposed. All <br />vehicles were seized and forfeited by the Orono Police Department from drivers that had <br />multiple violations for Driving While Intoxicated. The police department would recommend one <br />vehicle be sent to an auto auction and the other be sent to a salvage yard. <br />3. Project Scope. Disposal of two forfeited vehicles. <br />2003 GMC EnvoyVIN#1GKDT13S632397304 (Auto Auction) <br />1995 Dodge Neon VIN#3P3ES67C4ST604238 (Salvage Yard) <br />4. Staff Recommendation. I recommend that the disposal of two forfeited vehicles. <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to dispose of two forfeited vehicles.
