CITY OF ORONO <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION TO DECLARE THAT THE <br />PART-TIME POSITION HELD BY <br />ALEAH LANGE <br />IS THAT OF A POLICE OFFICER AS DEFINED <br />FOR PURPOSES OF PERA PENSION ELIGIBILITY <br />WHEREAS, that Public Employees Retirement Association Police and Fire Fund <br />excludes part-time police officers unless a resolution is adopted by the governing body to <br />authorize eligibility for coverage in the Police and Fire Fund. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Orono, <br />Hennepin County, Minnesota that effective September 24, 2018, the position Aleah Lange holds <br />is that of a police officer as defined in Minnesota Statutes, Section 353.64, pursuant to which <br />said employee shall become a member of the Public Employees Retirement Association Police <br />and Fire Fund. <br />Adopted by the City Council of the City of Orono, Minnesota at a regular meeting held <br />September 10, 2018. <br />ATTEST: <br />Anna Carlson, City Clerk <br />Dennis Walsh, Mayor <br />
