The purpose of this action item is to gain approval to proceed with the 2019 Stormwater <br />improvement projects design and accept the proposal from Bolton and Menk (BMI) for engineering <br />support. <br /> <br />2. Background. Each year the public works department works to repair and upgrade the City’s <br />stormwater infrastructure. Inspections in 2018 identified a number of structures for repair or replacement. <br /> <br />3. Project Scope. Replace, repair or install new stormwater structures as listed below: <br />a. Hunter Drive – Line or replace culvert and clean adjacent ditch <br />b. Lakeview Terrace – Replace culvert <br />c. Country Club Road – Replace culvert <br />d. Turnham Road – Replace inlet and storm sewer <br />e. Countryside Drive West – Storm sewer improvements/Replacement <br /> <br />4. Cost. BMI provided an estimate of NTE $22,800 to perform engineering for the projects. <br /> <br />5. Funding. This project will be funded through the Stormwater Enterprise Fund. The Capital <br />Improvement Plan (CIP) budgeted $209,000 for general storm sewer improvement projects and $88,500 <br />for the Country Side Dr. W Project for 2019. The EOY 19 Fund balance is projected to be $708,375. <br /> <br />6. Staff Recommendation. I recommend that council accept the proposal from BMI and authorize staff <br />to being working begin the planning of the 2018 stormwater projects. <br /> <br />COUNCIL ACTION REQUESTED <br />Motion to accept the proposal from BMI for an amount Not to exceed $22,800 for Stormwater <br />engineering and authorize staff to being working begin the planning of the 2018 stormwater projects., <br /> <br />Exhibits <br />A.
