Grading/excavation for wetland <br /> enhancement is complete. Native seed, cover crop,and straw mulch have been installed on exposed soils (primarily the <br /> thin-spread area). The re-graded compost pile slope is seeded and blanketed. All other erosion control BMPs remain in <br /> place. We now wait for rain and warm-up, and things should start growing in the coming month. <br /> Later in the spring,AES will start our first round of post-construction wildlife surveys. We will also continue vegetation <br /> management in the wetland, with installation of the remaining native seed in early summer. AES will construct the two <br /> rain gardens in early summer. Ecological monitoring will occur throughout the growing season, with our first year-end <br /> report submitted in late 2015. <br /> Please let me know if you have any questions.
