The project will include excavation and grading activities <br /> that will result in the discharge of fill material into approximately 2.10 acres of degraded shallow <br /> marsh type wetland, converting the area to a higher quality wet meadow and deep marsh type <br /> wetland. The project site is in the SW 1/4 of Section 5,T. 117 N., R.23 W.,Hennepin County, <br /> Minnesota. <br /> The authorized work is shown on the enclosed drawings labeled 2014-03355-MMJ,Page <br /> 1 of 5 through Page 5 of 5,which are hereby incorporated as part of this Letter of Permission. <br /> This authorization is issued under the provisions of LOP-05-MN. The authorized work includes: <br /> I. The conversion of approximately 0.50 acre of shallow marsh type wetland to deep <br /> marsh type wetland,associated with the excavation of a small open water area,to a <br /> maximum depth of 4.5 feet. <br /> 2. The conversion of approximately 1.60 acres of shallow marsh type wetland to wet <br /> meadow type wetland,associated with the discharge of the abovementioned dredged <br /> material over the remaining portion of the wetland basin. <br /> The authorization is subject to the following Special Conditions, as well as the enclosed <br /> General and Standard Conditions. <br /> 1. Annual monitoring reports shall be completed for the first three years following <br /> completion of the wetland restoration activities(2015 through 2017). Monitoring <br /> reports shall be completed according to the Minnesota Board of Water and Soil <br /> Resource's"Replacement Wetland Annual Monitoring Report"format and be <br /> submitted to the Corps(Attu: OP-R,Melissa Jenny)for review by December 31, <br /> 2015-2017. <br /> 2. The restored wetland area shall meet the following vegetative performance standards: <br />
