PROPOSAL - CUSTOMER COPY <br /> 6) As contracted separately with the owner, Builders Insulation shall inspect the existing vapor <br /> barrier and repair the polyethylene vapor barrier as necessary. <br /> 7) As contracted with the owner, Builders Insulation Company shall foam in place approximately 2" <br /> of two part polyurethane foam between the existing rafters ("R" value = 14.4). <br /> 8) As contracted with the owner, Builders Insulation Company shall install netting over the existing <br /> rafters to contain the new blown in insulation. <br /> 9) As contracted with the owner, Builders Insulation Company shall blow in fiberglass insulation into <br /> the remaining areas of the cavity ("R" value = 15). <br /> 10) As contracted with the owner, Builders Insulation Company shall box in and seal all lights, fans <br /> and other penetrations within the ceilings. <br /> 11) As contracted with the owner, Builders Insulation Company shall install the polyurethane foam <br /> insulation at all warm open attic areas along with blown in insulation. <br /> Notes: <br /> A) Items 6-11 shall be contracted directly with the owner and is not part of the price <br /> within Garlock-French's proposal. The anticipated cost from Builders Insulation is <br /> approximately $60,000 for this insulation and vapor barrier work and may vary <br /> slightly depending upon what is found when the insulation work is performed. <br /> Contact Doug Cressy with Builders Insulation Company at 612-535-7353 for pricing <br /> and more information regarding this insulation work. <br /> B) Garlock-French shall be responsible for coordination efforts with Builders <br /> Insulation Company along with all roofing work to be performed. <br /> C) Garlock-French shall work with the city of Orono and the Buildings inspection <br /> department to obtain all necessary permits and approvals. <br /> 12) Reinstall the cut to size 5/8" CDX plywood at all areas receiving new insuatlion and vapor <br /> barrier work, securely fastened to the existing rafters. <br /> 13) Reroof four flat roof areas in the adjacent areas where the insulation work shall be performed. <br /> The flat roof areas shall also receive insulation and vapor barrier work as described previously. <br /> Install Carlisle mechanically fastened EPDM roof systems, along with all new copper flashings and <br /> scupper work at these areas. <br /> Page 2 <br />
