Install metal framing anchors at all connections between roof trusses and their bearing walls. <br /> Provide metal truss hangers at all joists and trusses which bear into the side of a supporting <br /> member. <br /> 21. At all exterior walls bolt the wall sill plate to the masonry using 1/2"diameter anchor bolts <br /> spaced at 6'-0"on center(maximum). <br /> 22. Structural Roof Sheathing shall be 5/8" -32/16 APA Rated Sheathing with exterior glue at all <br /> flat roof areas. The plywood panels shall be fastened in accordance with the recommendations <br /> of the American Plywood Association(APA). <br /> 23. The Structural Floor Sheathing at mezzanine and flat roof areas shall be 3/4"T&G 48/24 APA <br /> Rated Sheathing with exterior glue. The panels shall be glued and nailed to the framing <br /> members as recommended by the APA. <br /> 24. All prefabricated wood trusses shall be manufactured in accordance with designs prepared by a <br /> Registered Professional Engineer. Submit shop drawings for each type of truss showing bearing <br /> locations,truss lengths,member sizes and grade of lumber,member stresses, connecting plate <br /> sizes and material,and bridging locations. The shop drawings shall be certified by an Engineer <br /> registered in the State of Minnesota. <br /> Design Live Loads <br /> The Structural design is based on the following superimposed Live Loads: <br /> Roof(Snow)- 40 PSF(plus drifting loads) <br /> Floors - 40 PSF at living spaces <br /> 50 PSF at garage floor <br /> Wind - 80 MPH <br /> The Structural design is based on the building in the completed state. Contractors shall take the necessary <br /> precautions to insure that the building is braced during construction to resist all vertical and horizontal <br /> loads encountered. <br /> Material Strengths <br /> Reinforcing Steel: ASTM A-615 Grade 60. <br /> Structural Steel: Fy=36 ksi for beams,plates. <br /> Fy=36 ksi for pipe columns <br /> Concrete: 3000 psi for footings,bond beam fill,block core fill and interior slabs. <br /> 4000 psi-Air-entrained for exterior slabs <br /> Masonry- Fm-- 1200 psi <br /> Lumber: Dimension lumber: Fb= 1200 psi <br /> Microlam(LVL)Lumber: Fb=2600 psi <br /> Soil Bearing Value: 2000 PSF(Assumed) <br />
