97130 Dennis Meyer Residence <br /> r <br /> Structural Notes: nMONO <br /> General <br /> 1. All footings shall bear on natural soils or engineered fill capable of safely supporting a uniform <br /> load of at least 2000 pounds per square foot,without harmful settlement. <br /> 2. Notify the Engineer immediately if any questionable conditions are encountered during <br /> excavation. Footings are subject to change depending on the conditions encountered. <br /> 3. Water shall not be permitted to pond in the footing excavation. Keep bottom of <br /> excavation dry. <br /> 4. Material for backfilling must be clean,free from wood scraps and organic material. Material to <br /> be well compacted. <br /> 5. Provide a minimum of 6"of compacted granular material below all slabs on grade. <br /> Reinforcing <br /> 6. All reinforcing laps shall be Class B unless noted. <br /> 7. Reinforce all wall footings with a minimum two#4 bars continuous,unless noted <br /> otherwise. <br /> 8. Provide the following concrete cover from edge of concrete to reinforcing bars: <br /> 3"at bottom of footing. <br /> 2"at earth side of walls in contact with the earth. <br /> 1 1/2"at bottom of slabs over earth or engineered fill. <br /> 9. Reinforce all earth supported slabs with 6"x 6" -W 1.4/W 1.4 welded wire fabric unless noted. <br /> Lap all wire fabric 6"at sides and ends. <br /> 10. Reinforcing in bond beams to be continuous at comers,or use V-6"x V-6" comer bars. <br /> 11. All continuous footings are to be centered under walls unless noted. Refer to Plans to verify all <br /> dimensions. <br /> Steel <br /> 12. Shop fabricate all columns and beam connections to prepare for bolted field connections. <br /> 13. Use 3/4"diameter A-325 high strength bolts at all steel to steel connections. <br /> 14. Column top plates to be 1/2"thick. <br /> 15. All welding to be performed by qualified AWS operators. <br /> Masonry <br /> 16. Reinforce masonry walls as shown on the plans plus joint reinforcing at 16"on center unless <br /> noted otherwise. <br /> 17. Reinforce all bond beams at precast plank bearing with two#4 bars continuous,fill with 3000 psi <br /> concrete. <br />
