n <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING —'OCTOBER 28, 1991 <br />MCWD — GRANT APPLICATION — CONT. <br />Jabbour asked how many meetings they would have to attend. <br />Nelson noted there would be 6 per year public informational <br />meetings held over a 5 year period. He noted that a single <br />person would not have to be named at this time, just agreement to <br />participate with the project. <br />It was moved by Jabbour, seconded by Council, to authorize <br />submittal of a clean water partnership grant application for Long <br />Lake, and to agree to participate with the public informational <br />meetings, and to adopt the Resolution #3035 as submitted. Ayes <br />5, nays 0. <br />Moorse asked who the other participants would be. <br />Nelson noted they are asking for help from the' DNR, •City, of,_ <br />Medina and Hennepin Conservation District. <br />Goetten asked why they chose Long Lake. <br />Love explained that it was the worst lake in the area as far as <br />quality, and they felt there were factors which could be changed <br />that were causing the problems. <br />Nelson stated they hoped to start this project in the spring of <br />1992. <br />Callahan felt this is one example of how the Watershed is <br />becoming more involved and felt that a representative of the City <br />should become more familiar with their operation. <br />( * #16) SALARY ADJUSTMENT & CHANGE POSITION TITLE.— x <br />STEPHEN WECKMAN <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Jabbour, to change Stephen <br />Weckman's title to Manager of the Sewage Treatment Program or On— <br />site <br />Septic Manager, and to increase his salary to Level 6, Step 2, at <br />an hourly rate of $12.509 to be effective as of September 1, 1992 <br />with a salary review in July, 1992. Ayes 5, nays 0. <br />( * #17) RESOLUTION #3036 — ORDERING REPORT & FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR <br />STUBBS BAY SEWER <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Jabbour, to adopt Resolution <br />#3036 ordering a feasibility report for the Stubbs Bay sewer <br />area. Ayes 5, nays 0. <br />( * #18) <br />RESOLUTION #3037 <br />— RECEIVING FEASIBILITY STUDY <br />& CALLING <br />FOR A <br />PUBLIC HEARING FOR <br />STUBBS BAY SANITARY SEWER AREA <br />It was <br />moved by Butler, <br />seconded by Jabbour, to adopt <br />Resolution <br />#3037 <br />accepting the feasibility study and calling for <br />a public <br />hearing <br />on Wednesday, <br />November 20, 1991 at 7:00 p.m. <br />for the <br />Stubbs <br />Bay Area Sanitary <br />Sewer.
