6 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING — SEPTEMBER 9, 1991 <br />ROLL <br />The Council met on the above date with the following members <br />present: Mayor Barbara Peterson, Councilmembers J. Diann <br />Goetten, Edward Callahan, Gabriel Jabbour and Mary Butler. The <br />following represented the City staff: Acting City Administrator <br />John Gerhardson, Building & Zoning Administrator Jeanne Mabusth, <br />Assistant Planning & Zoning Administrator Michael Gaffron, City <br />Attorney Tom Barrett, City Engineer Glenn Cook and City Recorder <br />Teri Naab. Ron Moorse was also present. Chief of Police Stephen <br />Sullivan arrived at 7:27. Mayor Peterson called the meeting to <br />order at 7:00 p.m. <br />OATH OF OFFICE <br />Acting City Administrator Gerhardson administered the oath <br />of office to Ron Moorse, City Administrator. <br />(##1) CONSENT AGENDA <br />Mayor Peterson requested that Item ##2 be removed from the <br />consent agenda. <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Jabbour, to approve the <br />Consent Agenda, which includes the following items: approval of <br />the minutes of the public hearing on the proposed facilities held <br />on August 28, 1991; Park Lane access reconstruction issue; Fall <br />Clean —up dates; performance review and compensation adjustment <br />for Linda Walters and the Administrator's information. Agenda <br />item number 2 has been eliminated from the consent agenda. Ayes <br />5, nays 0. <br />Motions for all items adopted by consent agenda will be <br />included in the minutes in their respective numerical order. <br />(##2) APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />Butler requested the last sentence on Page 13, Item #18, be <br />amended to reflect that Carole will be eligible for a salary <br />increase to Level 4, Step 2, September 9, 1992. She also asked <br />why the issue of current and future contracts with Long Lake was <br />not on the agenda as requested by Acting Mayor Callahan at the <br />last meeting, and also the issue of a possible change in City <br />prosecutor. It was noted that these items would be covered under <br />the Mayor's report and the City Attorney's report respectively. <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Jabbour, to approve the <br />minutes of the regular meeting of the Council held on August 26, <br />1991. Ayes 4, nays 0, abstention 1. Mayor Peterson abstained as <br />she was not at that meeting. <br />(##3*) APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Jabbour, to approve the <br />minutes of the public hearing held on August 28, 1991.
