MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING — AUGUST 26, 1991 <br />ZONING FILES #1506, #1660 & #1689 _ C®NTZ <br />Jabbour noted that it is a steep hill and the deck is <br />actually a launching pad which is very necessary. <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Jabbour, to approve <br />Resolution #3006, granting a conditional use permit and variance <br />for day use activities for property located at Record Lots 12 and <br />19, Big Island and for the reconstruction of the deck within the <br />0 -75' zone; and to approve Resolution #3007 approving the <br />vacation of the public right —of —way within the subject property. <br />Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( #9) ZONING FILE #1665 THOMAS MCCARTHY, <br />1424 BALDUR PARK ROAD <br />VARIANCE — RESOLUTION #3008 <br />Thomas McCarthy and his builder, Michial Mularoni, were <br />present for this application. <br />Callahan explained that this matter has returned from the <br />Planning Commission with a unanimous recommendation for approval. <br />Mabusth noted that applicant's amended plan proposes a <br />relocated detached garage. She referred to the lot coverage <br />ordinance exception which states that no matter what size the lot <br />is, a property is allowed 1,500 s.f. for the principal residence <br />and garage. The applicant proposes an amended application with <br />1,499.9 s.f. of total area combined for residence and proposed <br />garage. The Planning Commission had recommend that the proposal <br />be amended by removing 31 s.f. of hardcover in order to satisfy <br />the guidelines of this ordinance exception. <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Jabbour, to adopt <br />Resolution #3008, granting requested variances to permit the <br />replacement of an existing deck within the lakeshore protected <br />area and the construction of a 24'x22' detached garage within the <br />street yard for property located at 1424 Baldur Park Road. Ayes, <br />4, nays 0. <br />( #10) ZONING FILE #1666 MICHAEL HILBELINK, <br />2180 PROSPECT AVENUE — <br />RENEWAL VARIANCE — RESOLUTION #3009 <br />Michael Hilbelink was present for this matter. <br />Gerhardson noted this is renewal of a variance application <br />with an amendment to the original resolution noting the placing <br />of appropriate controls for drainage control have been added to <br />the resolution and appropriate easement documents have been <br />executed. ` <br />Mrs. Jentilucci, 1295 Briar Street, felt all concerns have <br />been addressed. <br />0 <br />
