l f <br />REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD MARCH 25, 1991 <br />( #9)TOWN MEETING CONTINUED <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to <br />direct Staff regarding the Town Meeting currently scheduled for <br />April 6, 1991 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p,m. at the Orono <br />Highschool cafeteria. Motion, Ayes -5, Nays -0. Motion passed. <br />($10)JOINT COUNCIL /PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br />Bernhardson asked Council if they wished to have someone <br />present to take minutes at the joint meeting. <br />Barrett informed Council that they are not required to have <br />someone present at the meeting for that purpose. <br />It was Council's consensus that having a recorder present at <br />the Joint Meeting t.) take notes a:zd prepare minutes is not <br />necessary. <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Goetten, to hold a joint <br />breakfast' meeting with Planning Commission at the Art Center on <br />April 20th at 9:00 a.m., and indicate items that they would like <br />for discussion. Motion, Ayes -5, Nays -0. Motion passed. <br />($11)1991 STRATEGIC PLANNING /ADMINISTRATOR 1990 -91 REVIEW <br />Mayor Petersen stated that she wo.u_d contact each <br />Councilmember with respect to the City Administrator's review. <br />Charlie Kelley stated, that it may be helpful for the <br />Planning Commission to receive 1991 strategic planning <br />information so they will be aware of the City's priorities. <br />Council agreed and Mayor Peterson asked Kelley to relay any <br />comments that he may have, once the Planning Commission has <br />reviewed the information. <br />Council accepted the information presented by Bernhardson, <br />and took no formal action. <br />OTHER <br />Goetten stated that the City should invite the City of Long <br />Lake to the Town Meeting. She also asked what the City is doing <br />in respect to the preparation and presentation of plaques to <br />former Councilmembers. <br />Bernhardson stated that the plaques are now completed and <br />that a presentation will be made in the near future. <br />Jabbour stated that the. Council has been actively involved <br />in more issues and that at times, two Councilmembers have met <br />together to work on an issue. He wants to be sure that all <br />Councilmembers feel that they are part of the process for each <br />issue and have been properly informed. Jabbour said, "If it <br />- 22 - <br />
