REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING HELD MARCH 25, 1991 <br />(# 9) TOlr7N MEETING CONTINUED <br />Highway 12, or the issues." <br />Mayor Peterson agreed that Council should make = brief <br />statement at the beginning of the meeting to update everyone in <br />regard to the major issues before the City. <br />Goetten suggested that it may be beneficial to the <br />residents in attendance of the Town Me eting, if Council provided <br />information about, the Park and Planning Commissions, including <br />the names of the members for each. She also stated that the <br />subjects of building permits, and a City newsletter may be a good <br />topic to include on the agenda. <br />Jabbour of-fered the suggestion of including infor-mation <br />about septic systems and the new City Septic: Inspector. <br />Mayor Peterson suggested that people may wish to discuss the <br />City's recycling program, and that the topiic of chemical <br />fertilizers could also be addressed. She asked Charlie Kelley <br />and Maureen Bellows if either had any suggestions. <br />Kelley suggested that the residents may be interested in <br />find.ing.out more about the City's finances and credit rating. <br />Goetten and Jabbour agreed that the City could inform <br />residents about the LMCD and the City's relationship with them. <br />Butler suggested that information could be handed out <br />indicating the meeting schedules of th.= Planning Commission, Park <br />Commission and Council. <br />Goetten agreed with Butler and thought it might be helpful <br />to include the meeting schedule for the various Highway 12 <br />Committee meetings. <br />Mayor Peterson asked. Council which Staff members they <br />believe should attend the Town Meeting. She suggested Mark. <br />Bernhardson, John Gerhardson, and Jeanne Mabusth. <br />Sherokee Ilse asked if it is Council s. intention to publish <br />the list of discussion topics in the newspaper. <br />Mayor Petersen indicated that the list of topics wou-.d be <br />published. <br />Sherokee s=ated that handouts a-e valuable, and suggested <br />that information pertaining to City Staff, building permits, etc. <br />could be prepared in the form of a handout, which could be given <br />to the residents attending the meeting. <br />- 21 - <br />
