MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO.000NCIL MEETING <br />HELD JULY 27, 1992 <br />( * #16) SUBRECIPIENT AGREEMENTS & RESOLUTION YEAR XVIII COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT'BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM — RESOLUTION #3146 <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Callahan, to adopt Resolution <br />#3146 authorizing Mayor and City Administrator to execute <br />subrecipient agreement with Hennepin County for the Urban Hennepin <br />County Community Development Block Grant Program. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( #17) FALL NEWS LETTER <br />Goetten felt they should send out a newsletter, and suggested <br />including an update on.Highway 12 and information on the styrofoam <br />ordinance. <br />Butler felt that if the Cable Commission intends to include a <br />newsletter to be sent with the City's newsletter, they should be <br />made to pay half of the cost. All Members agreed. <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Callahan, to authorize sending <br />out a fall newsletter, and if the. Cable Commission is to include <br />a newsletter, they must pay half of the postage. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( * #18) AMENDING DESIGNATED SIGNATURES FOR POST DISBURSEMENT MONEY — <br />RESOLUTION #3147 <br />It was moved by Butler, seconded by Callahan, to adopt Resolution <br />#3147, designating signatures for the Minnesota Board of Peace <br />Officer Standards and Training Disbursement Money. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( #19) PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING CONCERNING LEAF STREET <br />RECONSTRUCTION TO MSA STANDARDS <br />Jabbour asked how long the City has before they must use the MSA <br />funds for this year. <br />Cook indicated for this year, there is no deadline for the.use of <br />those funds, however, Council needs to make a decision at the next <br />Council meeting in order to allow time to draft the plans for the <br />project and get authorization to use the MSA funds. <br />Butler asked to review the analysis before the informational <br />meeting. <br />Moorse noted he will send out that information and Council may <br />discuss the issue prior to the informational meeting. <br />A public informational meeting regarding Leaf Street reconstruction <br />to MSA standards has been scheduled on August 10, 1992., during the <br />regular Council meeting. <br />13 <br />
