MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD MARCH 23, 1992 <br />ENGINEER REPORT <br />4 <br />( * #11) CHANGE ORDER - FACILITIES FRONTAGE ROAD <br />It was moved by Callahan, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to approve <br />placement of Class 5 gravel on facilities frontage road. Ayes 4, nays <br />0. <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT <br />( * #12) YEAR %VIII CDBG FUNDING - <br />RESOLUTION #3100 <br />See reference made at #1 above. <br />( * #13) BEDERWOOD PARR BASEBALL SCHEDULE <br />It was moved by Callahan, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to <br />approve the <br />schedule of the Orono Baseball Association for the use <br />of Bederwood <br />Baseball Field for the 1992 season as attached to John <br />Gerhardson's <br />memo of 3/20/92. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( *14) ESTABLISH SPRING CLEAN UP DAYS - MAY.2 AND 9 <br />It was moved by Callahan, seconded by Peterson, to designate May 2 and <br />May 9, 1992, as Orono Spring Clean -up Days. Ayes 4, nays <br />0. <br />( * #15) YARDWASTE PROGRAM SCHEDULE <br />It was moved by Callahan, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to approve the <br />yardwaste program and schedule for 1992. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( #16) DATE - COUNCIL WORK SESSION - <br />( #17) DATE - ASSESSMENT HEARING - <br />STUBBS BAY SEWER <br />After some discussion it was decided to schedule the Council work <br />session for April 1, 1992 at 3:00 p.m. and the assessment hearing <br />for May 4, 1992 at 7:00 p.m. <br />( #18) BID AWARD UTILITY TRACTOR <br />Moorse presented a memo from Gerhardson dated March 18, 1992 listing <br />bids for replacement of the "utility tractor and mower for the Public <br />Works Department. He recommended that the low bid be accepted from <br />Scharber and Sons for an amount not to exceed $23,896.00 but delay the <br />purchase until more information is received regarding the State's <br />budget problems and the effect it would have upon the City, <br />Goetten stated that she was not going to approve the purchase until <br />the financial matters regarding the City facility were set. <br />Gerhardson explained that he asked for an extension until May 1st <br />before placing an order and 'that Scharber and Sons was in agreement. <br />7 <br />
