MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD FEBRUARY 10, 1992 <br />ZONING FILE #1708 & #1709 - CONT. <br />Mabusth explained there was no record of conditional use approval <br />for that structure, but noted improvements for that residence are <br />not currently being proposed. <br />Dayton noted that the existing caretaker structure had been added <br />onto about 5 -8 years ago. Mabusth noted she found no record of a <br />building permit for the addition. <br />Barrett felt that although the structure is not directly tied to <br />these applications, it would be wise to require conditional use <br />approval at this time.. <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Mayor Peterson, to adopt <br />Resolution #3072 for Applications #1708 and #1709 for Judson Dayton <br />for property at 825 Old Crystal Bay Road south for a variance and <br />conditional use permit, and requesting the applicant to apply for <br />a conditional use permit for the existing caretaker's residence. <br />Ayes 4, nays 0. .. <br />( * #9) #1710 RICHARD BLOOMQUIST, <br />3333 SHORELINE DRIVE— <br />VARIANCE - RESOLUTION #3073 <br />It was moved by Callahan, seconded by Goetten, to adopt Resolution <br />#3073 for Application #1710 for Richard Bloomquist of 3333 <br />Shoreline Drive, approving a variance for a salt storage shed. <br />Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />( #10) SEPTIC ORDINANCE AMENDMENT - ORDINANCE #100, SECOND SERIES <br />Mayor Peterson asked if the amendment had anything to do with the <br />fact that the State is currently issuing well permits. <br />Goetten asked if the City would ever hope to regain the authority <br />to oversee well installations. <br />Weckman noted he has monitored the State inspectors to see what <br />they are concerned with in the installation of wells. He noted he <br />is working with the State to receive well information . on a regular <br />basis. He noted some well drillers still check with the City for <br />we I I s'i t es . <br />Callahan asked about the licensing provision in the amendment. <br />Weckman explained they would license site evaluators, which would <br />ensure they have passed the MPCA septic course. <br />8 _ <br />
