t <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD FEBRUARY 10, 1992 <br />ZONING FILE #1704 — CONT. <br />Mayor Peterson asked if this solution would be In place of a storm <br />sewer system. <br />Cook indicated that if installed and maintained properly, it would <br />replace a storm sewer system. <br />Callahan asked who would bear the cost of Installation and <br />maintenance. <br />Gerhardson noted the property owners would install the system, and <br />if there was a public easement over the property, it would be the <br />City's responsibility to maintain the system. <br />Mabusth noted that there is a public easement. <br />Richard Lee, property owners'' designer, Indicated he felt there <br />should be very little maintenance. <br />Madge requested that a screen be added to the manhole at the street <br />to eliminate some of the sediment build up. <br />It was moved by Jabbour, seconded by Goetten, to adopt Resolution <br />#3071 for Application #1704 for C. Arnold Carlson and Dar Iow Madge <br />of 855 and 875 Forest Arms Lane, approving a conditional use permit <br />and variance to the realignment and installation of a drainage <br />ditch. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />Carlson asked the Council to consider the waiving of the permit <br />fees in lieu of the'fact that the property owners were bearing the <br />cost of installation. <br />Mayor Peterson noted that they would consider the request. <br />( #8) #1708 & #1709 JUDSON DAYTON, <br />825 OLD CRYSTAL BAY ROAD SOUTH — <br />VARIANCE /CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT — RESOLUTION #3072 <br />f <br />Judson Dayton was present for this application. <br />Moorse explained that this is a variance to allow an addition to <br />an oversized accessory structure and a conditional use permit to <br />renovate a former caretaker apartment. <br />Goetten stated the Planning Commission requested the applicant to <br />apply for a conditional use permit for the existing caretaker's <br />residence on the property. <br />7 <br />
