0 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD JULY 26, 1993 <br />NORTH SHORE DRIVE MARINA LICENSE - CONT. <br />Goetten suggested staff send a letter of explanation. <br />It was moved by Mayor Callahan, seconded by Kelley, to issue a 1993 . <br />commercial marina license to North Shore Drive Marina, subject to <br />payment of the additional late fee. Ayes 4, nays 0. Jabbour <br />abstained. <br />( * #11) FLOODPLAIN ORDINANCE - MANDATED UPDATE - INFORMATION ONLY <br />No action required. <br />( * #12) STUBBS BAY SEWER CONNECTIONS - GROUP VARIANCES <br />It was moved by Jabbour, seconded by Mayor Callahan, to authorize <br />staff to make a single project variance application to the <br />Minnesota Department of Health on behalf of the affected Stubbs Bay <br />area residents. Ayes 4, nays 0. <br />• ( * #13) SECTION 5.42/5.43 AMENDMENT - APPROVED 6/28/93 <br />• <br />No action required. <br />MAYOR /COUNCIL REPORT <br />A) Hurr announced that she would be submitting her resignation as <br />the LMCD representative effective the following day, and urged the <br />Council to consider another appointment. <br />Mayor Callahan asked her to reconsider. He stated she has done a <br />good job in an impossible situation, and has been the target of his <br />frustration with the LMCD. <br />Kelley urged her to reconsider, as he stated her knowledge would be <br />difficult to match. <br />B) Jabbour thanked Kingsley Murphy for the wildflower garden along <br />the roadside. <br />C) Mayor Callahan thanked recorder Naab for her service. <br />D) Mayor Callahan announced the disciplinary hearing is scheduled <br />for Thursday at 5:30 p.m. <br />7 <br />
