made up of three wetland types. Type 1 (PFOA) is located along the south edge of the wetland and
contained all three wetland indicators. The Type 1 floodplain forest was dominated by silver maple
and green ash. A Type 2 (PEMC) fresh (wet) meadow surrounded most of the wetland edge,
except to the south where the Type 1 was present. This portion of the wetland was dominated by
reed canary grass and lakebank sedge, with a few cattails present near the middle of the wetland.
Near the west side of the wetland complex was a Type 6 (PSSC) shrub/carr wetland dominated by
willows and red osier dogwood.
A majority of the wetland basin was inundated, most likely caused by the recent heavy rain
events. Most of the water seemed to exist along the south edge of the wetland near the floodplain
forest. Topography and changes in vegetation were ultimately used to determine the wetland
boundary. Sample points 1-2 were taken along the north wetland edge to define the boundary
from the upland wooded area. Sample point 3 was taken along the south edge in the floodplain
forest to verify that hydric soils were present to go along with the hyrdophytic vegetation and
hydrology.
Surrounding the wetland basin was a forested upland area sloping into the wetland. Residences
and manicured lawns also existed adjacent to the wetland, and all appeared to drain into Wetland
A.
3635 Togo Road, Wayzata MN- Wetland Delineation Page 8
ISG Project No. 17-20520
