ORONO REGULAR COUNCIL MEETING HELD OCTOBER 8, 1990 <br />SALARY ADJUSTMENT - RANDY RATHBUN* <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Peterson, to adjust <br />Barry Rathbun's salary to $12.303 per hour effective October 1, <br />1990, which is the hourly rate for Level 5, Step IV as per the <br />compensation plan. Motion, Ayes -4, Nays -0. Motion passed. <br />LEAVE OF ABSENCE JAMIE BOSMA* <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Peterson, to accept <br />Jamie Bosma's request for a leave of absence of approximately 35 <br />days. Ayes -4, Nays -0. <br />TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT - CLERICAL STAFF* <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Peterson, to approve <br />the temporary employment of Laurie Scheff ler at $9.182 per hour <br />effective at the start of Jamie Bosma's leave of absence and will <br />terminate upon Jamie's return or December 21, 1990, whichever <br />occurs first. Motion, Ayes -4, Nays -0. Motion passed. <br />EMPLOYMENT - PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT* . <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Peterson, to employ <br />Scott Oberaigner as a maintenance worker in the Public Works <br />Department at a starting rate of $10.45 per hour which is Level <br />5, Step 1 of the Compensation Plan. Employment is contingent <br />upon a favorable physical examination and stress test. A <br />tentative starting date is October 22, 1990. Motion, Ayes -4, <br />Nays -0. Motion passed. <br />FINANCIAL PROJECTIONS* • <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Peterson, to accept the <br />information presented in the memo dated October 5, 1990 to the <br />Mayor and City Council regarding the Financial Project. Motion, <br />Ayes -4, Nays -0. Motion passed. <br />SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS - DELINQUENT UTILITY ACCOUNTS* <br />RESOLUTION #2887 <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Peterson, to adopt <br />Resolution #2887 providing for the collection of delinquent <br />charges for 1990 sewer and water utility services and annual <br />septic inspection and recycling program fees. Motion, Ayes -4, <br />Nays -0. Motion passed. <br />SPECIAL ASSESSMENTS - DELINQUENT 1990 DEVELOPER FEES AND ALARM <br />USER FEES* <br />RESOLUTION #2888 <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Peterson, to adopt <br />Resolution #2888 providing for the collection of delinquent <br />Developer's Fees and Alarm Users' fees in the amount of $1,554.34 <br />and to add ten percent (10 %) interest to the amounts due. <br />Motion, Ayes -4, Nays -0. Motion passed. <br />MUNICIPAL BOARD HEARING* <br />It was moved by Goetten, seconded by Peterson, to accept the <br />information presented to the Mayor and City Council from City <br />Adminstrator Bernhardson in the memo dated October 1, 1990. is Motion, Ayes -4, Nays -0.
