Wetiand Delineation Report
Stonegate Farm,Orono&Medina, MN
BES Project No. 2015-021
September 18,2015
Wetland E PF01 C 7 Y Wetland E is a small isolated basin in the
Seasonally woods along the northeast edge of the
Flooded Basin site. The tree canopy covers most of the
basin which has less emergent vegetation
than Wetland C.
Wetland F PEMAf 1 Y Wetland F is a small isolated basin in the
Seasonally northwest corner of the site. The basin is
Flooded Basin farmed on a regular basis, but shows
wetland signatures in most years.
Wetland PEMAdf 1 Y Wetland G is a series of cascading
G1, G2, Seasonally depressions in the center of the north 40
G3, G4 Flooded Basin acres of the site. An outlet ditch to the
north limits the water level and duration in
the basins. The ditch outlets on the slope
to the north but doesn't connect to other
wetlands. This area has been farmed
regularly since the CRP contract expired
in 2007.
Wetland H PEMAf 1 Y Wetland H is a small isolated flat along the
Seasonally northwest side of the site. The west part of
Flooded Basin the basin was planted to trees and is no
longer farmed. Just west of the site the
slope steepens and surface water drains
away quickly so the wetland does not
extend off-site to the west.
Wetland I PSS1C 6 Y Wetland I is in the northeast corner of the
Scrub-carr south 40 acres of the site. The basin is an
isolated, slight depression that until the
last few years was farmed regularly.
Wetland J PEMAdf 1 Y Wetland J is in the northeast part of the
Seasonally south 40 acres of the site. It is at the head
Flooded Basin of a drainageway/gully that drains down
the slope to the south.
Wetland K PEMAdf 1 Y Wetland K is a slight depression to the
Seasonally west of Wetland J and would overflow to
Flooded Basin Wetland J. This basin is farmed on a
regular basis.
Wetland L PEMAdf 1 Y Wetland L is the head of a swale just
Fresh (wet) south of Wetland I. The farmed part of the
Meadow basin had signatures in just 47% of the
normal years, but the non-farmed area
was wetland u on field ins ection.
8
