The review is <br /> based upon the supposition that the data on which the design is based are correct. Approval is contingent upon <br /> requirements included in this report. A copy of the approved plans, specifications,and this Report on Plans <br /> must be retained at the project location for future reference. <br /> INSPECTIONS: All plumbing installations must be tested and inspected in accordance with the requirements of <br /> the Minnesota Plumbing Code. No plumbing work may be covered prior to completing the required tests and <br /> inspections. The contractor/installer must obtain an inspection permit from the Minnesota Department of Labor <br /> and Industry when an installation is for a state owned facility, Minnesota Department of Health licensed healthcare <br /> facility, or a project in an area where there is no local administrative authority. For your regional inspector's contact information,visit <br /> our website at http://www.dli.mn.gov/CCLD/CCLDContactus.asp <br /> REQUIREMENT(S): <br /> L The distance from the trap to the vent may not exceed the values given in Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2620, <br /> subpart 4. The maximum distance to a vent for the 1-1/2 inch lavatory trap is 3 feet 6 inches. <br /> 2. A water heater with a maximum tank capacity of 6 gallons or less may be concealed in a ceiling space <br /> provided the water heater has been set in an overflow pan. The overflow pan must be constructed of a <br /> corrosion resistant material, have side walls extending at least 4 inches upward, and have an outlet size that is <br /> not less than the size of the supply line to the water heater. The outlet must continue undiminished in size to <br /> a point of safe disposal below the ceiling area. Tools must not be required to gain access to the water heater <br /> (see Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2240). <br /> 3. Equipment used for heating water or storing hot water shall be protected by approved safety devices in <br /> accardance with Minnesota Rules, part 4715.2210 and part 4715.2230. It is recommended that the relief <br /> valve discharge pipe be routed independently to a point of safe disposal below the ceiling. Please note, a <br /> relief valves direct connection to a fixtures waste or vent piping is not an appropriate place of disposal. <br /> 4. Valves shall be installed permitting the water supply to each room or individual fixture to be shut off without <br /> disrupting any other portion of the building(see Minnesota Rules, part 4715.1800, subpart 6). <br /> 5.
