MINUTES OF THE <br />ORONO PARK COMMISSION MEETING <br />Monday, July 2, 2018 <br />6:30 o'clock p.m. <br />CHAIR AND COMMISSIONERS' REPORTS <br />9. COMMISSIONERS' UPDATES <br />Ruegemer requested a trail through Saga Hills and Casco be mowed. <br />Edwards stated the City's lawmnower broke last week but that it is on the list. <br />Meyers asked when the couple will be doing their planting. <br />Ruegemer indicated she has not heard from them but that she is aware they have started little seedlings at <br />home. Ruegemer stated they will probably do it when their plants are ready, but in the meantime the City <br />should mow the area. <br />Berg requested the gate and buoys be installed at Lydiard Beach. Berg stated the no fishing signs are <br />small and not very noticeable. <br />Meyers asked whether the Park Commission is interested in touring one or more parks for the August <br />work session. <br />Johnson commented it would be great to go out and see some of the areas where the Boy Scouts are doing <br />their projects. <br />Meyers suggested the Park Commission tour Highwood, Saga, possibly Bederwood, and that if time <br />permits, they could also visit Summit. <br />Edwards stated it would be beneficial to anyone who is on the subcommittee to at least walk that section <br />of East Long Lake Road. <br />Johnson stated they could also visit Navarre Park. <br />Meyers recommended they visit whatever areas are completed by that time. <br />ADJOURNMENT <br />Carter moved, Ruegemer seconded, to adjourn the Orono Park Commission meeting at 8:05 p.m. <br />VOTE: Ayes 7, Nays 0. <br />ATTEST: <br />Rick Meyers, Chair <br />Page 11 of 11 <br />
