MINUTES OF THE <br /> ORONO PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> Monday, September 15,2014 <br /> 6:30 o'clock p.m. <br /> 5. #14-3688 APPLIED ECOLOGICAL SERVICES,520,550 AND 630 TONKAWA ROAD, <br /> CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT,9:03 P.M.—9:06 P.M. <br /> Curtis stated the applicant has made an application for a conditional use permit for the properties located <br /> at 520, 550, and 630 Tonkawa Road in order to restore a portion of a nearly 3-acre Type III wetland. <br /> The proposal is essentially to improve the quality of the wetland,to improve the wetland vegetation, and <br /> eliminate invasive vegetation. <br /> Staff did do a review of the project and concluded that the applicants are meeting the goals of the <br /> conditional use permit. Staff recommends approval of the conditional use permit subject to the applicants <br /> obtaining the appropriate permits/approvals from the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District prior to <br /> issuance of the administrative zoning permit. <br /> Chair Leskinen opened the public hearing at 9:05 p.m. <br /> There were no public comments regarding this application. <br /> Chair Leskinen closed the public hearing at 9:05 p.m. <br /> Leskinen stated she has no issues with the application subject to the conditions outlined in Staff report. <br /> Berg moved, Schoenzeit seconded,to recommend approval of Application No. 14-3688,Applied <br /> Ecological Services, 520,550, and 630 Tonkawa Road, granting of a conditional use permit subject <br /> to the conditions outlined in Staff report.
