Throughout the Contract Documents reference is made to codes and standards, which establish <br /> � qualities and type of workmanship and materials, and which establish methods for testing and <br /> reporting pertinent characteristics. <br /> ' B. It is the Contractor's responsibility, when so required by the Contract Documents, or by written <br /> requests of the Architect/ Engineer or the Owner,to deliver to the Architecd Engineer or the Owner <br /> all required proof that the materials or workmanship, or both, meet or exceed the requirements of <br /> the specifically named code or standard. Such proof shall be in the form of writing and generally be <br /> � copies of a certified report of tests conducted by a testing agency approved for the purpose. <br /> 1.02 QUALITY ASSURANCE <br /> � A. Familiaritv with Pertinent Codos and Standards: <br /> � 1. In procuring all the items used in this Work, it is the Contractor's responsibility to verify the detailed <br /> requirements of the specifically named codes and standards and to verify that items procured for use <br /> in this Work meet or elcceed the specific requirements. <br /> � B. Overlappin� or Conflicting Reauirements <br /> 1. Where compliance with two or more industry standards or sets of requirements are specified, and the <br /> ' overlapping of those standards or requirements establishes different or conflicting minimums or <br /> levels of qualiry, the most stringent requirement is intended and will be enforced, unless more detailed <br /> language written directly into Contract Documents clearly indicates that a less stringent requirement <br /> � is acceptable. <br /> 2. Refer all uncertainties to the Architect for clarifications before proceeding. <br /> I1.03 STANDARDS <br /> � Applicable standards listed in these Specifications include,but aze not necessarily limited to the standards <br /> promulgated by the following agencies and organizations: <br /> AA Aluminuxn Association, 818 Connecticut Ave. NW.
