If in fact the material is asbestos or polychlorinated <br /> ' biphenyl (PCB)which has not been rendered hannless, the Owner shall cause such material <br /> to be removed or rendered harmless under separate contract. Upon written notification by <br /> the Owner to the Contractor that such material has been removed or rendered harmless in the <br /> ' area affected,the Work shall be resumed. <br /> Delete Subparagraph 10.1.4 in its entirety. <br /> , 1�Z SAFETY OF PERSONS AND PROPERTY <br /> , Delete Subparagraph 10.2.6 and substitute the following: <br /> � 10.2.6 The Contractor shall appoint a responsible member of his organization to act as Safety <br /> Director(fire and accident)whose duty shall be to prevent accidents, minimize fire hazards <br /> and to enforce safety precautions. The Safety Director shall develop procedures and <br /> , regulations to guide the Contractor, subcontractors and all workmen.
