' <br /> Hennepin County Special Requirements Section 00800 - SUPPLEMENARY CONDITIONS <br /> 1/2/02 Edition ' <br /> Page I 3 of 32 <br /> 9.8 SUBSTANTIAL COMPLETION , <br /> Add the following to Subparagraph 9.8.1: ' <br /> Substantial Completion shall be that point of completion and progress of the Work when: <br /> .1 The completed Work represents a value of not less than ninety-eight percent (98%)of ' <br /> the current Contract Sum, as represented in the most current Certificate of Payment; <br /> and , <br /> .2 The completed Work represents a value of not less than ninety percent (90%) of the <br /> current Contract Sum as distributed for each line item in the Schedule of Values , <br /> representation in the most current Certificate of Payment; and <br /> .3 All primary building systems, to include but not be limited to exterior envelope, ' <br /> structural, exiting, elevator, electrical power, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, <br /> plumbing, fue protection, controls and automation, lighting, communications, <br /> partitions, floors, ceilings,finish hardware, signage,security, millwork and casework, ' <br /> pa.inting,fumishings,equipment, and furniture are essentially complete;and; <br /> .4 HVAC balancing is complete and the HVAC Balancing Report has been accepted by ' <br /> the Owner; and <br /> .5 Specified operational manuals for equipment and systems as well as operational , <br /> instructions for all systems and equipment have been delivered to and accepted by the <br /> Owner; and ' <br /> .6 Specifi�warranties for equipment and systems have been delivered to and accepted <br /> by the Owner. ' <br /> Delete Subparagraph 9.8.2 and substitute the following: <br /> 9.8.2 When the Contractor considers that the Work, or a designated portion thereof which is ' <br /> acceptable to the Owner, is substantially complete, he shall submit to the Architect a <br /> statement that the Work meets all the requirements for Substantial Completion as defined in ' <br /> Subparagraph 9.8.1, and that such completed Work represents a value of not less than <br /> ninety-eight percent(98%)of the current Contract Sum. The Contra.ctor shall also submit a <br /> list of any items of the Work remaining to be completed or corrected for fmal completion. ' <br /> The failure to include any items on such list does not alter the responsibility of the <br /> Contractor to complete all of the Work in accordance with the Contract Documents.
