Attached insulation: Prime surface of concrete with asphalt primer at rate of 3/4 gal/sq ' <br /> ft,and allow primer to dry.Set insulation in a solid mopping of hot roofing asphalt <br /> applied within plus or minus 25 deg of equiviscous temperature and at a rate required <br /> by insulation manufacturer. <br /> C. Loosely laid and Ballasted Sheet Installation: Install EPDM sheet over azea to receive roofing ' <br /> according to roofing system manufacturers written instructions. Unroll sheet and allow to <br /> relax for a minimum of 30 minutes. Mechanically fasten or adhere perimeter of sheet roofing ' <br /> according to requirements of ANSI/RMAISPRI RP-4. <br /> 1. Apply aggregate ballast uniformly over sheet membrane at the rate required by roofing <br /> system manufacturer,but not less than the following,spreading with care to minimize ' <br /> possibility of damage to membrane.Lay ballast as membrane is installed,leaving <br /> roofing membrane ballasted at the end of the workday.Leave seams unballasted until <br /> inspecbed by roofing system manufacturer. Ballast Weight:131b/sq ft(65 kg/sq m),Size 2 aggregate at corners and <br /> perimeter, l0 lb/sq ft(50 kg/sq m),Size 4 a,ggregate elsewhere. <br /> D.Seams: Clean both faces of splice areas, apply splicing cement, and firmly roll side and end ' <br /> laps of overlapping sheets according to manufacturer's written instructions to ensure a <br /> watertight seam installation.Apply lap sealant and seal exposed edges of sheet tern►inations. , <br /> Apply a continuous bead of in-seam sealant before closing splice if required by roofing <br /> system manufacturer. <br /> E. Seams (Contractor's option): Qean and prime both faces of splice areas, apply splice tape, � <br /> and firmly roll side and end laps of overlapping sheets according to manufacturers written <br /> instructions to ensure a watertight seam installation. Apply lap sealant and seal exposed <br /> edges of sheet terminations. ' <br /> 1. Repair tears, voids, and lapped searns in roofing that does not meet <br /> requirements. <br /> F. Install sheet flashings and preformed flashing accessories and adhere to substrates according ' <br /> to roofing system manufacturers written instructions. <br /> 1. Flash penetrations and field-formed inside and outside corners with cured or ' <br /> uncured sheet flashing as recommended by manufacturer. <br /> 2. Clean splice areas, apply splicing cement, and firmly roll side and end laps of � <br /> overlapping sheets according to manufacturer's written instructions to ensure a <br /> watertight seam installation. Apply lap sealant and seal exposed edges of sheet <br /> IIashing terminations. ' <br /> 3. Terminate and seal top of sheet Ilashings. <br /> 3.02 PROTECTION AND CORRECTION ' <br /> A.Protect sheet membrane roofing from damage and wear during remainder of construction <br /> period.When remaining construction will not affect or endanger roofing, inspect roofing for <br /> deterioration and damage, describing its nature and extent in a written report,with copies to ' <br /> Architect and Owner. <br /> B.
