DIVISION 03 Section 3450 - Architectunl Precast Concrete-Plant Cast , <br /> 3.03 ERECTTON AND LOCATION TOLERANCES , <br /> A. Install azchitectural precast concrete units level,plumb,squaze,and true,without exceeding <br /> the recommended erection and location tolerances of MNL-117. ' <br /> B. Erection Tolerances:Install azchitectural precast concrete units so that each unit after <br /> erection mmplies with following dimensional requirements. ' <br /> 1. Concave or convex bowing of any part of a flat surface not to exceed length of <br /> bow/360,with a maximum of 1 inch(25 mm) and up to 30 feet(9 m). <br /> 2. Maximum warpage of 1 corner out of plane of other 3,the greater of 1/16 inch ' <br /> (1.6 mm)per 12-inch(300 mm)distance from nearest adjacent corner. <br /> C. Tolerances for location of Architectural Precast Units:Fabricate and erect azchitectural ' <br /> precast concrete units so that joints between units do not exceed the following alignment for <br /> exterior units is outside face. <br /> 1. Face width of joints: Plus or minus 1/4 inch(6 mm). ' <br /> 2. Joint taper: l/40 inch per 12-inch length(1:480),with maximum length of taper over 10 <br /> feet(3 m)of 1/4 inch(6 mm)> <br /> 3. Step in face: l/4 inch(6 mm). , <br /> 4. Jog in alignment of edges: l/4 inch(6 mm). <br /> 5. Jog in alignment of reveals 1/4 inch(6 mm). <br /> 6. Plumb in any 10 feet(3 m)of element height: l/4 inch(6 mm). ' <br /> 7. Variation from level:Plus or minus 1/2 inch(13 mm)in any 40-foot(12-rn)run. <br /> 3.04 REPAIRS ' <br /> A. Repair exposed exterior surfaces of architectural precast concrete units to match color, <br /> texture,and uniformity of surrounding concrete when permitted by Architect. <br /> B. Remove and replace damaged azchitectural precast concrete units when repairs do not meet ' <br /> requirements. <br /> 3.05 CLEANIlVG , <br /> A. Qean exposed surfaces of architectural precast concrebe units after erection to remove <br /> weld marks,other markings,dirt,and stains. ' <br /> 1. Wash and rinse according to azchitectural precast concrete fabricators recommendations. <br /> Protect other work from staining or damage due to cleaning operations. , <br /> 2.
