The review is based upon the supposition that the data on which the design is <br /> based are correct, and that necessary legal authority has been obtained to construct the project. The <br /> responsibility for the design of structural features and the e�ciency of equipment must be taken by the project <br /> designer. Approval is contingent upon satisfactory disposition of any requirements included in this report. <br /> Special care should be taken to insure that the material and installation of the plumbing system are in accordance <br /> with the provisions of the Minnesota Plumbing Code. A copy of the approved plans and specifications should <br /> be retained at the project location for future reference. . <br /> INSPECTIONS: All plumbing installations must be tested and inspected in accordance with the requirements of <br /> the Minnesota Plumbing Code. As specified in Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2830,no plumbing work may be <br /> covered prior to completing the required tests and inspections. Provisions must be made for applying an air test <br /> at the time of the roughing-in inspection as outlined in Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2820, subpart 2, of the code. <br /> A manometer test, as specified in Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2820, subpart 3,is required at the time of the <br /> finished plumbing inspection. It is the responsibility of the contractor/installer to notify the Minnesota <br /> Department of Health when an installation for a state contract job,licensed facility, or project in an area where <br /> there is no local administrative authority is ready for an inspection and test. To schedule inspections,contact the <br /> state plumbing standards representative for your region, or call the metro office inspection hotline at 1-800-926- <br /> 6216 (7:30 a.m.to 9 a.m.), or 651/215-0836 (8 a.m.to 9 a.m.) on Monday,Wednesday or Friday. <br /> REQUIREMENT(S): <br /> 1. The specified eyewash appears to show the water supplies routed through the eyewash bowl. Therefore,the <br /> eyewash must discharge indirectly to the drainage system. <br /> 2. The flatnmable waste trap shall be constructed in accordance with the Minnesota Plumbing Code, <br /> Minnesota Rules,part 4715.1120. The interceptor shall include: <br /> a. The vent must rise vertically or within 45 degrees of the vertical to a point at least 6 inches above the <br /> interceptor. The vent shall be constructed of approved metallic pipe material. <br /> b. Drains that discharge into the interceptor shall be the dry-pan-type. <br /> 3. Showers or combination showers-baths shall be equipped with antiscald-type control valves. These valves <br /> must be of the thermostatic or pressure balance type in accordance with ANSUASSE Standard 1016-90(see <br /> Minnesota Rules,part 4715.1380, subpart 5). <br />
