The review is <br /> based upon the supposition that the data on which the design is based are correct. Approval is contingent upon <br /> requirements included in this report. A copy of the approved plans,specifications, and this Report on Plans <br /> must be retained at the project location for future reference. <br /> INSPECTIONS: All plumbing installations must be tested and inspected in accordance with the requirements of <br /> the Minnesota Plumbing Code. No plumbing work may be covered prior to completing the required tests and <br /> inspections. The contractor/installer must obtain an inspection permit from the Minnesota Department of Labor <br /> and Industry when an installation is for a state owned facility, Minnesota Department of Health licensed <br /> healthcare facility, or a project in an area where there is no local administrative authority. To schedule <br /> inspections, contact the state plumbing standards representative for your region. For your regional inspector's <br /> contact information, visit our website at http://www.dli.mn.gov/CCLD/CCLDContactus.asp <br /> REQUIREMENT(S): <br /> 1. The specified hand-held sprayer for a domestic kitchen sink faucet(S-1) is not approved for installation in a <br /> commercial type setting. The two sinks would require the installation of pressure vacuum breakers or <br /> reduced pressure zone backflow preventers on each water supply branch to each fixture(see Minnesota <br /> Rules, part 4715.2000). <br /> 2. Pet wash tubs with water inlets below the spill line or with hand-held sprayers must have approved high- <br /> hazard backflow preventers on each fixture branch(see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2100). This would <br /> require the installation of pressure vacuum breakers or reduced pressure zone backflow preventers on each <br /> water supply branch. <br /> 3. The water supply line to the automatic clothes washer must be protected against backflow by the use of an <br /> air gap or approved vacuum breaker. The discharge must be through an air break(see Minnesota Rules, <br /> part 4715.1230). <br /> 4. Water supply connections to fixtures or equipment which have inlets below the spill line must be provided <br /> with an air gap ar approved backflow preventer(see Minnesota Rules,part 4715.2000).
