Closed either means closed because <br />it was unfounded, abated (addressed), or sent to the prosecuting attorney. <br />Solution <br />Dedicating 20 hours of code enforcement time per week would increase initial response time, and <br />having a dedicated staff person whose primary responsibility is code enforcement would alleviate the <br />push/pull of responsibilities, where currently code enforcement tasks are the 5t" priority for staff, <br />without sacrificing current priorities: <br />CDD Building Official <br />Council/ PC action items Building permit review <br />Application meetings <br />Management of CDD Department <br />Resident Inquiries (phone, counter, email) <br />Management of Code enforcement program <br />Building inspections <br />Builder/ resident Inquiries <br />Septic program management <br />Code enforcement management <br />An alternative to the year round time share with the Police Department could include a %2 time share <br />with the PD over the 6 heaviest months for both building and code enforcement, April 15 through <br />October 1. <br />
