<br /> at least 7 workin�avs befare start of instal�ation and shall imclude:
<br /> a. Speei�cation data sheets ot�a11 components of system.
<br /> b. Floor plans indicating 1ocations of devices,fire alarm control panel,sub�panels,transponders,
<br /> enunciator, interconnecting wiring and zoning_
<br /> c. �ower conz�eetions ineluding source and branch eircuit data.
<br /> d. Type of back up power system.
<br /> e. Fiz'e alarm eontrol pane) shalt be compatible with alk�devices.
<br /> f.. A,II componet�ts of the system shall be U[�oX�M listed for their applications, S�nnoke
<br /> detectors shall be listed for commercial/industrial use.
<br /> 4. All systertas sha11 be addressable.Smoke detectors shal)be p�oto-efectric.No eombination
<br /> burglar/fire alarr�;systems are allpwed unless apptoved by tN1e Orono Fire Marshal.
<br /> 5. Power supply for the system shall include battery back-up with a UL listed�re alarm panel_ Alarm
<br /> verification is required�or all systems using sxt'aoke detectors.
<br /> 6. 7'he alarm system shall be audtble above the arr�bient noise level in all areas of the buiadi�ng.
<br /> Audio/visual si�na�an,g devices are required.
<br /> 7. When cetttxal station�oti�cation is required or provided it must be through a Ui.or FM listed
<br /> com,�nunicator or cantrol panel.
<br /> $. If a stttoke detecta�tg system installed in the tenant space of�building is directly connected to the
<br /> bualding fsre a1ar►�pa.�,el,then
<br /> a. A zone vn the alarm panel must identify the tenant�pace or zone of the buildi��t�,at the
<br /> system is located(i�e., second floor,west wing).
<br /> b. A viSual annunciation light shall be ir►stalled on the corridor side of the main door of the
<br /> tenants s�ace and acRivate when the detection system in the tena�nts space activates.
<br /> 9. The system shall be tested in the presence of the Orvno k'ire Marshal for�nal approval.
<br /> A,ppointmen�s can be made by calling the Fire Marshall at('952)473-9701,
<br /> 2a-hnu�rs notice is rec�uested. The test will include�
<br /> a. Random testing of system devices.
<br /> b. Random testing for system trouble and ground fault ttouble.
<br /> c. Correct operation of back-up power system.
