Soils within the investigation boundary have been mapped by the NRCS along with their hydric
classification. The location of each soil unit occurring within the investigation boundary is shown on
the Hennepin County Soil Survey map (Figure 3, Appendix A).
There is one DNR Public Water waterbody located within the investigation area, an unnamed pond
(27086600), which is located on the southern half of the property. The southern portion of the
property also borders Lower Laker Minnetonka.
The LiDAR map (Figure 4, Appendix B) illustrates the highest elevations in the north east corner of the
property. Elevations slope from north to the south of the property, ranging from 988 feet above msl in
the north half to 930 feet above msl in the south portion of the investigation area.
 , , ,
The precipitation received in the project area during the previous three months was within the above
average range (over the 70th percentile) for this area. Prior to the sample date of July 6th 2017, there
was higher than average precipitation in April and May, and normal precipitation in June. Therefore
the field work was completed under wet conditions according to the precipitation worksheet for
wetland delineations (Appendix C). On July 5th 2017, 0.80 inches of rain was recorded by MN
Climatology Group about 3 miles north of the project area.
Based on the data reviewed and fieldwork conducted, one (1) area was examined for wetland
characteristics within the project area. One (1) wetland was ultimately delineated and is further
described within this report. The delineated wetland is identified as Wetlands A, which include sample
points 1-2.
Field data forms for each sample point are located in Appendix B. Refer to Figure 6 (Appendix B) for a
map of the project boundary, wetland basins, sampling transects, and area. Photos of the wetland
basin within the project boundary are included in Appendix C.
There is an approximate 8 acre Type 3 wetland (1.62 acres of which is within the project boundary)
located adjacent to the project area. The Type 3 wetland is listed as an unnamed DNR Public
Waterway and is listed as a PEM1F on the National Wetlands Inventory (NWI). Lower Lake Minnetonka
(Smith Bay) is located directly across Shoreline Dr. to the south of the investigated area. There are no
listed USGS streams within the investigation area.
1760 Shoreline Dr. - Wetland Delineation Report Page 6
ISG Project No. 20712
